The idea
We are often far kinder to other people than we are to ourselves.
The Power of You explores what changes when you stop treating self-criticism as the price of personal growth.
Through practical insights on self-compassion, mindfulness, boundaries, resilience and the way we respond to setbacks, this book is about building a healthier relationship with yourself — without giving up your ambition to grow.
A personal beginning
Why I wrote it
I wrote The Power of You during a period in my own life when I was learning what it actually meant to be kinder to myself.
It grew out of reflection, therapy, personal growth and a simple realization: wanting more for your life does not require constantly believing you are not enough yet.
You can be ambitious
and compassionate.
You can keep growing without becoming your own worst critic.
Sometimes a brighter future starts with learning to be on your own side.
